Ground Beef

Got my first "bigger" ride in this year... (anything over 2 hrs is a bigger ride to me). Lots o' climbing, turned my legs into the consistency of ground beef, and put my lungs in a vice. Wish I had a computer to track the elevation gain, but considering the route was a mere 39 miles and took 3:15 to complete, it was A LOT of uphill! Kudos to my Yeti ARC-X - heavy 'cross wheels and all made for a fun ride on pavement and dirt (mud)!
Only 20 miles to go... taking a breather at Golden Gate Canyon State Park.

Way to get out there,... That certainly sounds like it must have had some serious climbing.

I've just started riding again and I can't believe how much fitness I've lost and Lavs I've gained. My Oct-Feb non-stop couch-luge training had me in peak form for the Olympics,... It is going to take awhile to get my confidence, strength, and butt "durability" back,... >;-)
